Our Gelato & Italian Pastries

At Gelateria Girotti Zurich, our gelato is crafted using traditional Italian methods, natural ingredients, and small-batch production to ensure freshness, balance, and exceptional quality in every scoop.

To complement our flavors, we offer a curated selection of traditional Italian pastries, from classics like tiramisu, baba al rum, and cannoli to regional specialties such as cassata and sfogliatella, celebrating Italy’s rich dessert heritage.

All our pastries are handcrafted in collaboration with the Girotti team in Italy, ensuring the same authenticity, craftsmanship, and passion that define our gelato, for a complete Italian dessert experience in Zurich.

A story of roots. A story of returns.

Some stories are born from the land. Others, over time, find their way into the world. Girotti was born in Amelia, in the heart of Umbria (Italy), a place shaped by simplicity, patience, and traditions passed down through generations.

Here, gelato is not just a product, but a daily gesture, made with care and respect for doing things well. It is the same land that gave origin to Mario Girotti, known worldwide as Terence Hill, one of Italy’s most beloved actors through decades of cinematic success.

In the town of Amelia, Umbria, his grand-uncle ran an artisanal gelateria known for its homemade recipes and authentic flavors. When the shop closed, a piece of family heritage seemed lost.

In 2015, during a visit to Amelia with his grandson, Terence Hill rediscovered the site of the original gelateria and decided to bring it back to life. In 2017, Antica Gelateria Girotti reopened its doors. Today, this tradition continues in Paris and in Zurich, blending Italian history, craftsmanship, and passion for great gelato.
